We are grown from our grandfather’s organic farms to a sustainable, green landscape company.
Several Seasons is a residential landscape company specializing in design, installation and maintenance. We service gardens in the San Francisco Bay Area, Marin County and Sonoma County, California.
Several Seasons is owned by Susan Pearlstine, who practices ecological landscaping and is a licensed landscape contractor, organic gardener and landscape designer with over 30 years experience. She is a member of the Association for Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) and the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA). Susan has degrees in horticulture, design and construction management, and is a graduate of the Sustainable Landscape Professional Certificate Program at Sonoma State University. She is currently furthering her education at the University in the Green Building Certificate program.
Susan has extensive previous work experience as the Installation Manager and Designer for a major Marin county landscape company. She has also managed a smaller gardening maintenance company and has published several design and “how to” articles under her pen-name “Dr. Garden”. Recently, she has developed a new design style suitable to the climate of Marin County gardens called “Mission Gardens”. It is based on the philosophy of the Missions of California, which incorporates a Mediterranean style with an emphasis on edible landscaping. Several Seasons is committed to creating gardens that combine the clients’ personalized preferences with the requirements of their particular microclimate, thus allowing the outdoor space to be utilized to optimum capacity. The goal is to design harmonious and beautiful gardens that reflect the native horticulture and environmental needs of the area.

SEVERAL SEASONS MANAGEMENT STAFF
Bulmaro Serrano Installation and Maintenance Manager
Bulmaro Serrano is the Manager of the Installation and Maintenance Divisions for Several Seasons. He has been working in landscape construction and maintenance for over twenty years and has been with Several Seasons since 2004. He is a family man and has lived in California for twenty five years.
His many talents include: stone masonry, concrete construction, the building of decks, stairs, dry stack and mortared rock walls, fountains, flagstone or rock BBQ’s, patios and stairs. He is proficient at installing lawns, gardens and trees, in addition to pruning and maintenance. His knowledge of irrigation installation and repair is excellent and he keeps current with the newest product lines and irrigation methods.
Bulmaro keeps his crew members working efficiently and on task. He has a strong work ethic, is bilingual and completes projects on a timely basis, always with safety and budget as his first priorities.
Kash Killion Carpentry and Lighting Manager
Kash Killion is the Manager of the Carpentry division and Project Manager for Several Seasons. He has been a cabinet builder and carpenter for over 30 years and he has wide experience building Craftsman style homes. He has brought his precision skills and knowledge of construction as well as artistry to our outdoor landscapes.
Kash was raised in Alton, Illinois where he gained wood working skills early on from his father and extended family. He is also a luthier with the knowledge and ability to build string instruments. Kash’s woodworking is easily recognizable by its highly appealing and unique style. He creates beautiful gates, fences, arbors, decks, stand alone buildings for storage and retaining walls.
Kash works along with his trained carpentry assistants and supervises on site until all work is completed. Kash is committed, in the creation of his designs and budget, to meeting the unique specification and needs of his clients.
